Rising Water Tutorial/ Progress

 https://youtu.be/4sTdqrrtbU4

The animation is just about finished, need to add a voiceover and time things out, but aside from that the only thing missing is the paramecium bit.

PSA Storyboarding

 Brainstorming/spitballing

-water crisis (flint Michigan)

-coal ash dumping

-North American deforestation

-western wildfires

-global warming (permafrost pandemics)...i like the name

Permafrost Pandemics is too good of a name to pass up, so I think I am going to work along those lines. The steps should be simple enough to break down. The tricky part is going to be one of the two effects I have in mind. The first is an effect where the screen freezes over, which I also planned to learn for the end of my previous video, but may be counter-intuitive for this project. The other one, or maybe two, are the screen filling with water, which I imagine to be more straightforward, or the paramecium, which I don't even know if there is a tutorial for without plugins.

Steps: -Greenhouse gas (smoke effect?)

Distant factory, zoom in on chimney, either smoke effect or follow trail to sky

-Glacier melt

water drip images move down glacier image

-Rising Sea-level (water effect) flooding

(shoreline? city?) water fills the screen

-Permafrost thaw, release of carbons into atmosphere exacerbating the issue and speeding thaw as well as the revival of long dead bacteria, viruses, and prions we have no resistance or vaccines for. (possibly paramecium effect or animation)

permafrost turns transparent over thawed parafrost soil, bacteria start moving (or zoom in if using paramecium effect.

-Maybe go into pandemic results if need more time (probably not, considering last time)

Syringe filling, (reusing flood effect, just change color)

Nuclear Winter Infographic

There are a few obvious fixes, like I forgot to move the dead tree behind the adjustment layer and the bones are a little janky, but aside from that I am relatively pleased with how it turned out, though I would also like to add a few more sound effects and maybe music.

Nuclear Winter Background

For some reason my computer keeps giving me network errors today when i try and download things, so just in case it continues this, here is the unfinished version of my infographic with just the narration and background effects.

Shockwave Demo

It's there, it just blends in. Followed this tutorial https://youtu.be/JYbgjCR8PMI to create a shockwave effect that I am planning to use to highlight the beginning of my infographic.

Storyboarding

Morbid, to say the least, but very interesting when you break it down into steps. Depending on how long the video ends up being, this storyboard can be broken up into between 5 and 7 scenes.
